found it There was a short in my Nuetral safety switch, which blew the fuse. When the fuse blew it took out the dash and that must have triggered the po500. Evertything is working now minus my back-up lights & starting in gear. THX jgue467 for the reply lungfish

Thanks for the reply. I likr the lube idea, but It's too late. I did get it apart and it peers like I broke the mounting for the lock cylinder. I will try to repair. Don't want to by a new license plate Frame:(

THX mcaz5, I'm a moron. took me forever to figure out I had a reply to my original posting. Any rate, I got the plastic cover off and the metal access cover. I see that the key lock cylinder is loose, The ears on the lock cylinder are intact, but where it threads into the plastic license...

I'm new to this forum. I'm sure there is info on this site regarding R&R of the latch handle on the rear of the lift gate. Either the mechanism is broke or the lock will not unlock. I need to take it apart and findout. Just wondered if anyone else had the problem or could direct me to a link.
