No insurance did not cover this work, and the welder told me if i ever had any problems with it too bring it back. If the repair fails 5 years from now i dont plan on suing the welder, the truck already has high miles so if i can squeeze a few more years out of it them i am happy :peace:

A professional body shop that does insurance work fixed it for me, (no he was not welding for crack money). He did a great job and the repair is rock solid, he basically welded 1/4" thick steel all the way around it. And also the rest of my frame is in good shape considering its been in...

I would call around and get some quotes from welders and stuff, a local body shop did mine and like i said as long as there is still some good steel under the rust your in good shape. Good luck

Had the same thing happen to mine, i took it to a local welding shop and they fixed it for $150. As long as there is still some good steel under the rust it can be welded

Dumb question but does the battery have a good charge? You can drain a battery pretty fast if your playing with the radio and the and the vehicle is not running :shrug:
