Awesome Xmas gifts man.

What's a little hot?

That's a question I can't even answer. Occasionally on my 3 miles drive home from work I've seen 220* F. I'm running green coolant thanks to the ***** shop that keeps replacing my head gaskets. I'll flush it soon and run red.

Yeah but 96/97 don't have true trans temp sensors. You can only see the general radiator coolant temp which isn't the same thing. hmmm.

Just for comparison :
I usually run 190-202 on the scan guage and I think the most I've seen on my 97 was 205 but I'm not sure. That would have been in 105 F outside temp at Big Bear last summer. I don't have a trans cooler, just the stock setup but I did replace the radiator with a new Koyo. I am also running the green coolant, nothing special.

I have a manual, so I don't have to worry about all that trans temp garbage. I'll swap coolant and hope it goes down. I have a fund incase my engine does decide to kick the bucket...

Awesome build dude!

It's nice to see another high schooler in the same boat as me with the lack-o-cash problem. I voted for you and i am vary glad i did, on a side note my birthday is July 14th so its pretty awesome we both have evergreen pearl 4Runners and are B-days are close to the same. I hope you win the rims!

Today Matt and James met up with me and we headed to Saddleback which was closed. So we headed over to Holy Jim. Sadly James blew a radiator a couple miles in, so our time was slightly ruined. It seems every time I wheel with James, he breaks something.

I'll let the pictures and a video do the talking.
