the little driving i did in the snow today, i ended up sliding through every stop sign and just gave up even stopping for them after a while. The bottom layer is all ice and 4x4 doesn't make a difference on ice. So in i will stay until the roads get a bit better.

so basically take the wire thats hooked up to the brights on the headlight connector on the engine bay into the cabin and find something that is always 12v and slap a fuse in between.

which is what i want to do, but my electrical skills aren't great in figuring out what or where to wire it into. I can solder etc... fine though. Just need a little help in where to wire it to.

Ok so i installed DDM HID's, they work fine, brights and regular lights. I have IPF lights i wired in so when you hit the high beams, you flip the switch to turn on the IPF lights. Checked the fuse, its fine and neither bulb blew out either (so i assume they are still fine). I do notice that...

bingo, only time i notice them is when i have the stereo off, and then i still don't care. Its a truck not a luxury vehicle. If it was a 7 series bmw then i would get mad.

my 99 they turn off when you turn truck off. Now if only door locks would lock when you put the thing in drive.

yeah, no way i am doing that without having a gallon of gas in the back. And i already lost i went down to the truck no turning on anymore and i still only shoved 17 gallons in.

my first car i had was mileage only, gas gauge worked for like a year out of the 6 years i had it. Going by mileage doesn't bother me much.
