Installed HID's now IPF driving lights don't work

Ok so i installed DDM HID's, they work fine, brights and regular lights.

I have IPF lights i wired in so when you hit the high beams, you flip the switch to turn on the IPF lights. Checked the fuse, its fine and neither bulb blew out either (so i assume they are still fine). I do notice that the brights indicator inside the truck doesn't come on anymore now that i installed the HID kit. Which is weird because i definitely notice the difference between regular lights and brights when i turn the brights on.

Honestly i don't really like how i have to turn the brights on just to turn on my ipf's so where else can i wire them in so that i just flip on the switch for my ipf's so they can come on regardless of my regular lights being on?

why dont u just wire it to a switch using a relay? u would just wire the relay remote wire to a fuse that only functions when the 4runner is on...

which is what i want to do, but my electrical skills aren't great in figuring out what or where to wire it into. I can solder etc... fine though. Just need a little help in where to wire it to.

lol ok well let me try to find a diagram for the relay... Sry at work so cant think straight abut which fuse is the best for the lights to be wired to. On my offroad lights i just have it wired directly to a switch with a 30a fuse on the power wire; that way i can use it even when my 4runner is off for like camping and other things u might need it for.

green wire is any 12v hot that's probably what wire is tied into your high beams

so basically take the wire thats hooked up to the brights on the headlight connector on the engine bay into the cabin and find something that is always 12v and slap a fuse in between.

bag the relay for the IPFs totally

just wire up a direct hot wire to a switch for your IPF's.

I gave up on understanding relays quite some time ago.

I get the concept but it just over complicates life.

Drawback: Some fool gets in your truck and plays with switches there is a chance they can be left on and drain your battery.... solution-make the hot wire an ignition hot only.
