    Replacing Front Seats

I put 87? mr2 seats in my 97 4runner and LOVE them! I had to cut the sliders and weld the 4runner legs on then made a bracket for the seatbelts

Cut off and reweld upper ball joint?

No offense taken at all! Not really looking for someone to do all the math for me, but more looking to see if anyone tried it with or without success. IBALLENGINEER, i take your words seriously and thank you for taking the time to respond. I know lots of people get frustrated reading posts of...

Cut off and reweld upper ball joint?

Thank you. Yeah i guess i wrote it as a dumbed down post. Ive done lots of fab work on other things, just not a factory control arm. What i was really looking at was cutting and rolling the end of the control arm up then rebracing/welding inplace to give the upper balljoint a better (more...

Cut off and reweld upper ball joint?

That's why i was asking, the upper balljoint binds up at fulldroop acting as a stop and even sitting level with a 3" lift it is at an awful harsh angle.

Cut off and reweld upper ball joint?

Has anyone cut the end of their upper control arm off, twisted the upper ball joint upper for better alignment and rewelded it inplace to give more/free movement and lessen sideload on the upper balljoint on a lifted 4runner? Looking at it this should be a cheaper option to the uniball.

I finally got my rear locker in last night, mounted my cb antenna, ran my antenna cable from the roof rack down into the dash and have my dash tore apart to mount my cb. I'm going to my rig all ready for 4wheeling, camping, camp fires, socializing and having fun oct 21-22 down in Hedgesville...

My led bar screams on the road!

I figure there is no hope for the noise mine makes, so i just keep my sunroof closed wgen I'm going over 40 mph and hardly hear it, but with the sunroof opened at speed you have to yell back and forth to talk to the passenger. ... as big as it is i actually use the whole thing pretty often so i...

How much did you pay for your 3rd gen?

I paid $1,500 for my 97 with 200,000 miles on it, then did my own body work, painted it, built the roof rack and mororcycle carrier, lifted it and added 305/70 16s

    Homemade....Let's see what you've made

Here are a couple better pics of the "mid" hitch receiver. I welded it in at an angle to hold the weight down and let the rear receiver roll down. To stiffen everything up and keep the carrier from rocking back and forth with all the weight on it i ran outriggers on each side under the...
