Ideally I'd want manual cranks for the drivers window and electric everything else. So you can still control all from the drivers seat. And if you end up in a lake and the electrical system dies you can still roll down your window. Hey, if you need to get rid of your old manual cranks... lemme know.

Looks like a good opportunity for an aftermarket bumper.

    Good luck timmy

I drove through Bend a few weeks ago, I wasn't expecting anything but thought it was a really cool place. I came from the Cascade Lakes scenic byway, and hiked up Tumalo mountain across from Bachelor. I camped in a snow park nearby. Just wish I had more time to explore the lava flows and general...

    3rd Gen 4Runner Lift Information and FAQ's

Hi everyone, ok I ordered an ARB bullbar which supposedly weighs around 200 pounds. So that minus the stock front bumper will be my new front weight addition. No winch yet. I'm wondering what spring to get. Currently its all stock in the front but I have some 4runner B8 5100's, 24-248730 with 4...

    Octanejunkie's T4R project - 99 SR5 4WD 5-speed

Great to see this still going. Interesting that you got an 80, I got a 60. I'm putting 80 axles under it though which is a ton of work. So work on the 4runners has had to slow down a bit. I made a rack on one side of the back of the 4runner that goes from the back, forward to about where the...

    Mark_BC's 2000 Limited Salvage Build

I needed to head west towards Chilko Lake and the Taseko River road which goes there. I was heading north-east up the Gaspard road in the opposite direction so I needed to take a connecting road over. There is a network of mainline logging roads here on the vast Chilcotin Plateau that generally...

    3rd Gen 4Runner Lift Information and FAQ's

Yeah that's the reason. Those Tundra shocks are for 2007 to 2012. These are the ones for 2000 to 2006 which look similar length to the 4runner ones: Bilstein 5100 0-2.3" Lift Front Shocks for 1996-2002 Toyota 4Runner Great, now I gotta get rid of those Tundra shocks. I guess I'll just get...

    3rd Gen 4Runner Lift Information and FAQ's

I'm wondering if there is something wrong here. I bought the Tundra 5100 front shocks as recommended. I also got some OME 881X springs which I understand will give me a 1.5" lift or so on the lower perch. But comparing the length of this assembly to the stock one still on the car, the lengths...

    Mark_BC's 2000 Limited Salvage Build

The next morning I backtracked the trail from Poison Mountain back to the junction. Here is the track up Poison Mountain: I turned right and headed north-west to the next junction. This road is really fun to drive, technical but not too difficult. You definitely exercise your axles. There...

    Mark_BC's 2000 Limited Salvage Build

There was a little bit of rain overnight, enough to get the ground wet. The firefighters were back at it with the helicopter, dumping the bucket on flare-ups. I continued driving up the valley. Yalakom is a pretty long valley and it connects up with the Mud Lakes road, which comes from the...

    Mark_BC's 2000 Limited Salvage Build

I spent the morning getting organized, finishing up some online things since I'd be incommunicado for a while now. I re-fabbed my front mudflap using the roadkill fender material to stiffen it. And I re-greased all the driveline zerks with my new mini-grease gun which I now really like due to...

Fehr Lake is kind of interesting. It has a sluice gate on the outlet with a long walkway elevated over the lake. It is in the desert so it must be very alkaline. It is full of snails and other interesting life. Not sure if there are fish in it. After packing up I continued along the forest...

    Mark_BC's 2000 Limited Salvage Build

In the morning I washed the dust off the back of the car and headed out. I was hoping to find a higher trail to hike up along the way since I really needed some exercise. The lake is in a high valley and the road rises up even higher before again going back down the mountain to the surrounding...

    3rd Gen 4Runner Lift Information and FAQ's

Yeah I'll ask around thanks. And regarding 1" vs 2" vs 3" lift, it's all kind of arbitrary isn't it since each year had a different stock height? And they sag over time. Wouldn't a better way to describe it be LCA or CV angle under the desired weight? Then you can compare apples to apples.
