So should I replace the tie rods( inner and outer) since they should be sealed by the boot? And do I do both sides? Never done this stuff before but I can't afford to go to a shop. I am willing to get dirty and keep the truck I just bought in good working order. I've rebuilt a couple old kz900's...

Thanks guys, I'll be going round trip 40 miles a lot to the shop. But when the weather allows I go out ratting around on my Z1900 so I can pick on Hardley's and sportbikes.:hunter:

No rust, 161 I believe seeing. I reckon I could call Toy and give them a vin and see if it's been serviced ya.

Looking at one tomorrow and it has 224,000 miles. What should I be looking for as far tell tell signs of "stay away". I don't have a lift and can't really look under it. I drove her and she runs fine. I don't know... any suggestions so I don't get stuck with a huge:toilet:

I have a few bucks since I sold my 00 Tacoma. I have the option of buying 89 Toyota 4 Runner *REDUCED*. Or a 97 limited 3.4 v6 from a used car salesman ( drove fine, no noises, 224,000 miles. I know this is vague and will open up a cans of worms but which of the two would be a better investment...
