This is a good point, but at Rock Auto it looks like depending upon brand it's about $20 all told between 12.5 and 13.3 inch rotors and calipers. So they'll still suck - but more swept area and a larger heat sink can't be bad. Thanks all for your input.

Hello, So this is not a one time thing. I've disconnected the battery 3 times now (twice for the radio and once when I dropped the fuel tank). Each and every time the rear wiper and rear window defrosters stop working for a certain length of time...then presto they start working again...
