    Thanks Jeffh, looks like a blend door actuator, never knew what that was. The Haynes manual has nothing on it. I hate just unfastening things without a guide but sounds like its easy to flip that gear with minimal trouble. Also, an awkward place to get at. Thanks for the lead. I will take some...

    Strange buzzing sound from cabin

    2002, 271k miles. The part in this photo with the little yellow sticker started buzzing about a month ago. If I knew what the part was, I could diagnose and fix it but don't know where to start. Can someone simply tell me what this is and why is it buzzing?

    About to install my third alternator in 4 yrs...

    The problem persisted for years. Seems like every time I'd open the hood, I saw some build-up in need of a wire brush. It's not horrible at the moment, it's a 2 year old battery.

    Yeah, I can't remember which one I put on last, but my records at Autozone show that I returned one to them 2 years ago and didn't buy another one so I am thinking I went Denso last time. Regardless, I would like to do a little troubleshooting to rule out a larger problem.

    Any thoughts out there on why? I assume it is a short to ground somewhere as I have had battery issues as well. Could it be the battery cables "leaking" back to ground? I do have quite a bit more corrosion than I would expect on the battery posts. If it is a short to ground, how would that...
