My first Toyota was a '97 Tacoma and I had forgotten how much I hated the cup holder... Now I bought a 98 4runner and it's all came back to me. What where they thinking?! Anyone seen a good alternative?

I've been able to smell burning oil when I stop my 4runner. So opening the hood I see a light mist of white smoke coming from the back side of the engine. It's not leaking all the way to the ground yet, so I guess that's good. My question is, how hard would it be for me to replace the valve...

Wow, you got a good deal. I had a Tacoma with the little shelf under the stereo and I always used it. I'm really looking for a GPS unit though. I like the look of yours though. :)

I've decided to go with the Eclipse AVN...although i'm not sure what model yet. Quick two question though... Will it still operate the automatic antenna or will I need to buy another one? Where did you run your GPS antenna to? Does it have to go on the outside?

The AVH-P4400BH looks almost perfect, but it doesn't have GPS, does it? I didn't see that listed as one of the options. The App Radio sounds good, but I don't have a Blackberry and not an iPhone because of work.

Where did you find them A.Wilson? Looks like ebay and amazon are sold out of the lower priced ones. Interesting too that crutchfield says that they won't fit in a 1998 4Runner.

Man you really got me itching to buy an Eclipse AVN unit. But paying over then $500 is really going to hurt. :)

Those are good choices. Thanks for the screenshots. Did you have to install either of those stereos it with adapters? Sadly, I have a blackberry, but I bet I could get the bluetooth to work with it. I don't care much about having a CD player.

I'm thinking of pulling out the stock stereo in my 4runner and replacing it with something that has a GPS and Stereo. The Eclipse AVN50D looks like exactly what I'm looking for because it fits right in without any modification. I'm just wonder what some of you use these days. Thanks again...
