    Rear window motor testing

Just checked, the switch is plugged in. Don’t have tech stream but maybe I can find someone that does or I’ll just take it in somewhere. Just replaced the NSS that was rusted in place, but something this dumb is going to stump me haha.

    Rear window motor testing

I didn’t even realize there was a safety switch in the rubber. Anyway to test if it’s good? Can you check continuity thru it? Also, wouldn’t you know it, I came home and the wiper nor defrost work now.

    Rear window motor testing

Just picked up a 2010 trail edition that needs some love. Going thru the list and one of the issues is the rear window. Rear wiper does work and retracts all the way back up, I confirmed by trying to push it up. Deicer works as well. Neither the console switch nor the rear lock switch are...

Someone buy my wrecked 4Runner at auction

I got quoted 10k to fix some dented doors and body panels on one of my Chevy vans at work. The real world price to fix some parts and the retail price are 2 different especially with Covid labor still going on. At least around where I’m at.

Someone buy my wrecked 4Runner at auction

My parked runner got hit last month and they totaled it out. From looking at it, looks like just the rear control arm is what’s damaged. Didn’t see any frame issues. Going to auction soon. Found the link. I decided not to buy it back because they wanted more than I wanted to spend and I just...

    (Another) FJ T-case swap question

Right, I was about to drop money on one of their twin stick t cases cause I just wanted a quick swap before I realized that its really not much effort to gather everything yourself. The stories on tacoma world right now is pretty sad. Some peoples build have been there since like 2019.

    (Another) FJ T-case swap question

From one more member, thank you so much xtremewlr. I replaced my tcase with another electric one last year due to the actuator and now that actuator has frozen up too. I actually took a hammer to it and broke it apart because it got stuck halfway between 2 low and 2 high and I was dead in the...

4th Gen 8" Front Diff Pinion Flange Torque

youre probably right. I wonder if I can just cut it off without taking off the flange. Non of my jeeps had a pinion dust flange over the seal so maybe it wont be a bad thing:shrug:

4th Gen 8" Front Diff Pinion Flange Torque

Anyone know if the front clamshells on the 4th gens have a crush sleeve or are shimmed on the pinion? My dust shield behind the flange has gotten a little bent and is making some squeaking noises and Id like to replace it but pulling off flanges with crush sleeves always makes me nervous because...

    Locking up front end?

I can confirm that the center diff lock was on. I pulled the front driveshaft and I could still drive. Pulled the actuator apart again and checked the center lock shaft position. All the way in is locked and turns out all the way out is locked also. There’s a little section right in the middle...

    Locking up front end?

I have an 05 v8 with full time 4wd. I live in eastern NC and last year hurricane florence did same major damage and I ended up driving thru a lot of high water which allowed water into my tcase actuator as I didnt realize the breather tube was split. This ruined my actuator motor so part time...

FS/FT $750 FJ BBS 17" wheels with 265/70r17 Toyo Open Country AT Wilmington NC

Just bought these, may put them on the 4runner but I wasnt paying attention when I purchased them and the tire size is different than what they were posted at. Tires are probably 80-85%, maybe 6k miles on them. Just wanted to see interest before I paint them and put them on anyway. Willing...
