Rear window motor testing

Just picked up a 2010 trail edition that needs some love. Going thru the list and one of the issues is the rear window.
Rear wiper does work and retracts all the way back up, I confirmed by trying to push it up. Deicer works as well.
Neither the console switch nor the rear lock switch are getting any response from the window. My next step was going to see if Im getting voltage to the window regulator and what happens if I send it. Anyone know of the wiring I can use to make this easy? I havent looked yet but I doubt its going to be as easy as a red and black wire, and I dont have an FSM yet.

Got to try and get the transmission NSS off today as well, fun, yay.

Going to love this thing once the kinks are worked out.

There is a copy of the FSM in the stickys that Nashman posted several years ago. In fact I think it's for a 2010 model year. Also remember that window won't move if the switch in the rubber at the top is bad. It's there as a safety thing to prevent body parts from being crushed by the window going up. It also inhibits the rear wiper if not closed by the window being all the way up. The window can appear to be all the way up, but not be. The switch is pretty sensitive apparently!

I didn’t even realize there was a safety switch in the rubber. Anyway to test if it’s good? Can you check continuity thru it?

Also, wouldn’t you know it, I came home and the wiper nor defrost work now.

Make sure the switch on the center console is plugged in. I keep mine unplugged because dog paws do a great job of lowering the rear window about 1/8" allowing in dust. This will also prevent the wiper (and possibly the defroster) from working.

You should be able to test it all with Techstream, which is basically required for long term maintenance and upkeep for a DIY.

Just checked, the switch is plugged in. Don’t have tech stream but maybe I can find someone that does or I’ll just take it in somewhere. Just replaced the NSS that was rusted in place, but something this dumb is going to stump me haha.
