rear suspension support for towing load

i use my 1st gen to haul my dirt bikes on a hitch carrier which adds about 350 lbs off the hitch (google dirt bike hitch carrier for pics). while normally fine, the back end sags with the bikes even though i turn the rancho adjustables all the way up. i'm thinking of adding some airbags i can...

    1st gen 31's with 1 inch offset

from everything i've read i believe i will be fine, but want to check if anyone knows if i will be safe with 265/75/16's on 16X8 wheels with 1 inch offset? i'm pretty sure i'll be fine. it is the offset that is throwing me so just want to double check before i order up. 87 runner with minor...

    96 end of life options

wish i could get a cheap rear axle. im in new york and axle assembly runs around 600 from the yards around. think i'll just try to sell it as a "mechanics special". someone could put a few hundred bucks into it and a couple weekends and have a nice ride. i will definitely miss it.

    96 end of life options

so rust has taken the best of my 96's undercarriage. the frame could probably be plated as it is not rusted all the way through, but the rear axle assembly is pretty shot and brake lines went last week. sad thing is that the body has no rust at all, clean and straight. interior is in good...

    advice on high mileage purchase

thanks all- lots of good advice. think i'm going to just sell what i have for cheap ($1,000) and buy one in california (my brothers live there so they can check things out for me). will cost about $950 to ship it back but with no rust vs a rust bucket in new york i think it is well worth the...

    advice on high mileage purchase

thanks runner. thats what i'm thinking about, the running gear. may not be worth the effort and be better off just biting the bullet and spending the extra cash - but kind of tight right now so looking for options.

    advice on high mileage purchase

getting some estimates, but its gonna get pricey because everything is in pretty bad shape. another reason i'm thinking to do the change now is that i want to build it some more (including paint) and dont want to put more money in it and have it fail shortly afterward. i can get the mechanical...

    advice on high mileage purchase

i currently have a 96 with about 140k miles on it, slightly built and runs like a top. but the frame is toast. i could probably weld up some plates to repair the rust damage, but given i sometimes have my kids with me, dont want to take chances. so my thought was look for a high mileage 3rd gen...
