Hey guys, its been a long time since i posted on here, i sold my old 87 4runner and picked up a 87 Yota Truck a factory 22rte and R151 tranny, fun and fast (for a yota) rebuilt the 22rte .030 over cammed, then eventually did a custom ct26 turbo on it with 10PSI....sold the truck for college...

i think its right around 1.75 gallons. i can go 35 miles once the light comes on (from experience)

A CT26 turbo will bolt up to a stock CT20 manifold. you just need to bore the hole bigger to match the CT26.

Thats the same reason i had to sell my 4runner, but its all good i got a 87 toyota pick-up 22rte with a 5 speed instead.

ok heres the deal i just got my 87 up and running with a 22rte and after the first drive in it i noticed that the turbo LED in the dash was on with the key all the way off, and non of the other warning lights came on in the dash when i went to start it back up. only the check engine light, and...

could be a fuel cut-off problem but i've never heard of it happening in a non turbo motor...

the tranny should bolt up. as far as the EFI vs. Carb thing i dont really know. im in the middle of pulling out my 22rte in my 87 p/u and its got a ton of wiring that is a pain in my ass. so if you did you would have to decide to keep it carborated or put all your EFI stuff on.

in what ways? i plan on rebuilding the motor in it.

here the deal i found i 87 yota xtra cab with the 22rte and a 5 speed! its got a bottom end knock though. the cab is in excellent cond. the interior is missing a few trim pieces and it has a flatbed and not the original bed. as far as rust goes, its got none, theres a tiny bit of surface rust on...

no oil pressure is a serous problem. if your losing oil it could be a cracked block or head. if your not losing any oil it could be bad rings, scratched cylinder walls....many things, i wouldnt even run the engine until fixed
