here the deal i found i 87 yota xtra cab with the 22rte and a 5 speed! its got a bottom end knock though. the cab is in excellent cond. the interior is missing a few trim pieces and it has a flatbed and not the original bed. as far as rust goes, its got none, theres a tiny bit of surface rust on the frame, but other than that the frame is rock solid. the motor has got ~250,000miles on it.
but heres the dilemma, to get it i would have to sell my 87 4runner. i really wanna do this and my dad would loan me the money if i want to commit to it.
so my main questions are....
1. how much could i get for my 4runner? shes got a decent body, no rust. strong 22re and 5 speed tranmission. it does need a few small things like new exhaust and its missing two exhaust manifold studs. its also got a custom bumper, i want to get at least 2000$ for it
2. the 22rte has that rod knock. if it comes to rebuilding the bottom end how much would this run me? i also heard the knock could be the rod bearings and you just drop the oil pan and replace them that way?
3.it also come with and extra transmission and t-case, how much could a sell that for. 400$?
