I did one years ago. It is not hard to do if you have some fabrication skills. I used stock yota rears up front and swapped to Chevy rears. Trail gears cross over steering, shock hoops and rear mounts. Everything else I made myself. We came in under 1k easily. But we collected parts for a while...
I've seen a picture of one that was bolted onto the side of the shell. It had a wide foot print at least it looked like it. Every time I do a search there are very few first gens in it. I can make it but just need to see a few ideas.

Thanks guys, I got it fixed this afternoon. I removed the blower and stuck my hand up in the box. I found my AC evaporator core was clogged. By clogged I mean so much dirt and lint on it that the air could not blow through it.
So I removed the evap box and this is what I found.

It was in the low 20s this morning and after my hour drive to work I had more ice on the windshield than I started with. The temp gauge was reading normal, the air coming from the vents was warm probably not as warm as it should be but warm. My biggest problem seems to be that I am not getting...
Sending unit is probably the culprit or a bd wire. I would check the wiring and ground the on to the sending unit.y gauge was very erratic I pulled it and cleaned the contacts on the unit inside the tank. Reinstalled and it has been working fine. Sorry didn't take any pics. But I have done it...
You can feel the injector and tell if it is getting a pulse and clicking. If you feel a pulse and have good compression it probably is a piece of crap in the injector.
