54k on my '04 and I've been having the brake pulse pretty bad. Pads on front and rear have plenty of wear left (surprisingly). When I had the calipers off the front recently I noticed two of the caliper pistons had rust in them. Is this the cause of all the pulsing? I see no exceptional wear...

I have a CD for my Gen 4 (2004) around here somewhere. I remember taking it to Kinko and having them print it out for me. Problem was that it came out to >1000 pages, most of which were diagnostics. I put them into about 10, 3" binders.

Update: 52kmiles on vehicle. Got a call from the parts store saying they didn't have the proper adapter to handle the wide-hub wheels on the 4runner. All that work and I had to put the unturned rotors back on. Needless to say, things still throb. When I have another day to mess w/it I'll...

My 04 V-8 Sport has started ticking at startup this winter. Didn't hear it last winter. Appears to be coming from the area of the fan clutch but that could make it a number of things. Ideas? Similar experiences? BTW, I too have the brake throbbing. I'll worry about it when the brakes need...
