I think the ones that Toytec sells specifically for the 4Runner are the same Tundra ones just with the shock eye bushing replaced to fit the 4Runner. The Tundra bushing has an ID of 0.50" but the 4Runner uses a 0.75".

Been trying to diagnose this front end noise. It doesn't stop when I apply the brakes so I ruled that out. It only happens under load so no noise when jacked up. It gets faster as the wheel goes faster. I'm thinking it is a wheel bearing but would like a second opinion...

What are you planning on doing with the old tail light spots? Leave them or fill them in with something? Truck looks one of a kind!

Can you post any pictures of it closed? How did you mount it to the roof rack?

Don't let it discourage you! You should just do the inspection on the LBJs while you have the front jacked up.

Well finished installing my LBJs today and it all took about 4 hours. The first one took about 1.5 hrs but the second one was done in half an hour. The rest of the time was booting the CV and going to get diff fluid. Real easy install and hope the Napa ones last until I get OEM ones!

So definitely wont be going with Moog. I don't think the LBJs have ever been replaced and the truck has 290,000 kilometres on it. I will also definitely examine the other side and have it replaced asap.

I'll give it a clean tomorrow after class. Really hope someone in town has a LBJ in stock. Is that yellow gunk just grease? Is the grease called CV axle grease? And the boot doesnt appear to be torn. I might have to get a new fastener though. Luckily there's an auto club on the base here that I...

So I experienced my first LBJ failure today on the way home from school and was it ever scary. Will see if I can get a new one tomorrow but my CV has me confused. Do I need a new one? Sorry for the bad picture just got home from work and it's past midnight and -30*C.

As far as the cone bumpstop goes I'm pretty sure it isn't bolted on by anything and is held in there from the pressure in the spring. Can't help with the bushings though.
