Hi I live in the UP we get a lot of ice and snow. What do you guys think about locking the center for going up steep nasty hills? Or should I just stick with going up in 4HI.

I have used both the BFG AT KO and the Goodyear Duramax, and I live in one of the snowest placed in the U.S. Both performed really well, but personally the Duramax are a little better if you want to look at those, plus they offer alternatives sizes.

So I have Thule bars and am getting the footing to bolt them down onto the roof rack bar that run along the 4Runner. But does anyone know how to remove the bars that run across the 4Runner so the new Thule ones don't interfere?
