    Need suspension help/advice

Possibly Some Help I just lifted my second 5th gen. This one was a limited, so I deleted the shot xreas and went with 6112 up front with the 8/6 positions yielding 2.6" and I went with the bilstein 1" rear lift springs and 5100s. My goal was to keep the stock Limited look, just more athletic. I...

    5th Gen Bilstein 6112 Tips-KDSS

I used 1/4" spacers on both sides to give it some extra height, I just dropped the passenger side coilover down one notch which is what the install directions recommended and my truck is noticeably higher on the driver side, which stinks.

    5th Gen Bilstein 6112 Tips-KDSS

Installed 6112s on my KDSS 2014. Here are a couple important tips/notes from my experience: -Bilstein instructions tell you to use a one notch LOWER SETTING on the passenger side---DO NOT DO THIS!!! You will end up with an uneven lift like mine. No idea what they are trying to compensate for...

Toytec Boss vs Bilstein 6112/5160 setup

Damn right I had bad things to say after spending good money on a full BOSS setup and having the replace everything except the diff drop after only 2 years! For christ sake, one of my rear shocks sheared right off just below the top mount, and my front coilovers were leaking and rode like...

Toytec lift springs on Bilstein 5100?

I need some advice. I have the older style Toytec boss coilovers on my 14 trail and they are shot after less than 20k miles. I bought some new adjustable 5100s and I'm trying to decide whether I should run the red lift coils from the boss coilovers on a lower setting of the 5100s or run the...

Toytec Boss vs Bilstein 6112/5160 setup

Toytec are Garbage I was all stoked two years ago when I got my 14 trail, I did a ton of research and decided to go with the Toytec Boss system. Huge mistake! It rode fine for a while, then the front coilovers started clunking and riding like crap and more recently the driver rear shock...

Toytec Boss vs Bilstein 6112/5160 setup

Unhappy with BOSS setup Dont go toytec. I installed a full boss setup with Camburg uniballs and the toytec fronts were ok for the first year then they started clunking(like the sound my old trucks front struts made when they were bottoming out), but what really gets me is that I tried to...

Toytec Boss / Camburg Uniball UCA / BFG AT KO2 Tips and Observations

Installed my lift and UCAs myself about a month ago in the driveway. It was kind of a ***** and a brutal day but I'm glad I did it versus spending the $500-$600 my local 4x4 shop wanted(including alignment). I will also say that this is the largest automotive project I have ever taken on--I'm no...

2014-2015 Trail Pre-Lift Height Measurements Needed!

Installed my toytec 3" lift this weekend myself and I just got my 285 TA KO2s mounted and I'm loving it. I did however make one major mistake--I forgot to measure the height of the truck pre-lift to get a sense of how far up the adjustable coils have taken it and how far I should go. Does...
