Installed 6112s on my KDSS 2014. Here are a couple important tips/notes from my experience:
-Bilstein instructions tell you to use a one notch LOWER SETTING on the passenger side---DO NOT DO THIS!!! You will end up with an uneven lift like mine. No idea what they are trying to compensate for, but it doesn't exist on my vehicle(2014 Trail)
***KDSS--I was able to swap out the new coilover WITHOUT REMOVING the front KDSS swaybar. This made the process MUCH easier, as last time I did this, I removed it and it is a beast to get it back into place! Try it first without removing the KDSS front swaybar(I did do the install on a true garage lift this time versus in my driveway)
-I added a 1/4 inch Toytec spacer plate to the top of the mounts hoping to get it closer to 3". In hindsight I would have gone with the 1/2 inch aluminum spacer even though its a little more work(swap studs) because the 6112s at full height plus the 1/4 inch spacer still do not provide the height that the Gen1 BOSS lift did at full height (BTW-that setup was a piece of junk with all 4 corners failing within 2 years!-to their defense, they have changed the design but they are still selling that POS Gen1 BOSS setup)-never buy this!
-I am running Camburg uniball UCAs, I dont believe from my experience that you would need to replace the stock UCAs to run the Bilstein 6112s at 2.5 inch lift(full height) in the front. My feeling on the UCAs after having them several years is that they look good, but they DO NOT provide any additional benefit of extending the travel of the front suspension or any ride quality improvements. In fact, mine are to the point where after some serious wheeling this summer the uniball teflon liners are shot and so the balls need to be replaced which is a pain after only 2.5 years. If I was doing it all over again on a budget, I would roll with the stock UCAs as I think they'd work just fine, can be aligned ok and are maintenance free! If you had to swap them later for any reason, that's an easy modification.
Aside from that, I am happy with the setup overall it is a good, firm ride which I like although I do miss my extra .5-1 inch of front lift. BTW-I am running bilstein rear shocks with my leftover Toytec 3' lift springs. The truck sits perfectly flat right now(no front rake). Good luck!
