Drill holes in side mirrors for water

I just did the puddle light LED upgrade and was surprised to see that there is a drain hole in each mirror.

    Low tire pressure warning light

Steel spare is what's up there. It's going in shortly for the air bag recall, and I've got an extended Toyota bumper to bumper warranty, so I'll leave it in their hands to fix it.

    Low tire pressure warning light

Came on last night, yet all tires are at 35psi. Is there a sensor in the spare by chance? Do these sensors have batteries that need to be replaced every so many years? 2013 SR5 75K miles. On one had I'm glad I wasn't changing a tire in the pouring rain on the side of 287 here in NJ last night.

    2019 damage / repair question

The adjuster can only write what he sees, the body shop will find everything that was damaged (if there's more) when they put the truck up on the frame rack. Being it was hit on the wheel, the body shop will probably check the truck's tracking via a 4 wheel alignment. If there's anything out...

    Ok to hose off engine??

Warm engine, not hot! Simple Green, a big sponge to get the inner fenders clean, then a rinse and most importantly, a blow dry with your leaf blower. Mist it with your favorite dressing and it will look showroom new.

Dealer oil change and now oil is pouring out from the 4runner

Be the O-ring on the oil filter assembly isn't in the groove. Been there, done that !!

    Wondering on the highway

When the suspension was installed last summer they did get the caster to 3.8. I'm coming off stock Bridgestone tires, which tracked OK on the highway. I'll have the alignment checked again, I think it should track better with these Michelins. No input on the clunk? Seems to be pronounced...

    Wondering on the highway

Truck has the TRD springs and shocks (For FJ) installed. I just had the Michelin LTX's installed and an alignment done. Didn't get the print out so I don't know the exact settings. Truck seems to track OK, doesn't pull but seems to wonder a bit on the highway. It was windy this weekend and...

‘16 weak A/C ... just deal with it?

Open up those vents !!! The more you close, the more restriction you're putting on the blower, which of course gives less air flow. You can't expect the blower to push the same amount of air through 2 vents that it's capable of pushing through 6. LET IT BLOW !!!!! On a 90 degree hot humid...

    Resetting ECU on 5th Gen?

Resetting the ECU will only clear error codes. The ECU is constantly monitoring air fuel ratios and many other parameters and making adjustments continuously to achieve the required preset A/F ratio. Resetting it will do nothing to it's operation. If you have a drop in mpg, look elsewhere to...

Bilstein TRD Pro suspension kit on sale PTR13-35140

Couldn't agree more! The ride is more controlled yet remains very smooth. In my opinion, the truck should have rode like this from day one. A much better suspension over stock.

Bilstein TRD Pro suspension kit on sale PTR13-35140

Installed the kit today. Had the struts assembled prior with new KYB top hats. Took maybe 2-1/2 hours to do the front, maybe 1-1/2 for the rear. Firms up the ride nicely and absorbs bumps well. Gained maybe an inch up front, looks level. Definately a good upgrade.
