FS: 2 sets of 5th GEN Trail Edition OEM wheels - $320 per set, Toronto, ON, Canada

Hi - selling two sets of four 2014 T4R Trail Edition OEM wheels with 285/65R17 Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S tires. Tires are old (manufactured in 2015) but with decent tread remaining. Wheels have some minor blemishes and oxidation to be expected with normal use, but are undamaged and in good...

    1999 T4R 5-speed Cali cats

Hi - thanks for the suggestion, but I've already attempted to do that. However, they only provide OEM parts, which are very expensive for a catalytic converter. I was hoping to find an aftermarket cat instead, in order to save a few hundred dollars. Two common aftermarket brands for CARB...

    1999 T4R 5-speed Cali cats

Hi everyone, I'm looking to replace the cats on my 1999 4Runner. It's a Highlander edition, 4WD, 5-Speed, with 2 catalytic converters (Cali emissions). The O2 sensor downstream of the rear cat is the bolt-on type, rather than the threaded style used on newer 3rd gens. The emissions compliance...

    Aftermarket cats for 2001 Cali

Haven't tried Cataclean, but certainly worth a try. Thanks for the suggestion. It does appear that any aftermarket cat will not last as long as a factory one. But like you said, you can buy several aftermarket ones for the cost of one from Toyota. My main concern with the aftermarket ones is...

    Aftermarket cats for 2001 Cali

Hi - would anyone have a recommended brand of aftermarket catalytic converters for a 2001 Limited cali-spec 4Runner? The P0420 code has been plaguing the truck recently, and the O2 simulator mod did not solve the problem. I tried a new Toyota rear O2 sensor as well, and also ruled out any...

How To: Make Your Own Rear O2 Simulator for $5

Tried the modified O2 sim on a 2001 Limited Cali Spec. Unfortunately it diidn't work. :(. The P0420 code did not reappear after the sim was installed, but instead was replaced with a P0136 code and CEL back on. Was worth a try for a few bucks.

    1999 tall springs on a 2001

Thanks. So, it's simply a matter of swapping the '01 springs with the '99s?

    1999 tall springs on a 2001

Hi - can a set of tall springs (front and rear) from a 1999 4Runner be installed on a 2001 without any other modifications? I need to replace the suspension on my 2001 Limited, and to save a few bucks thought about using a set of hardly used springs left over from a '99. Would '99 shocks/struts...

Frame Rot!! Is this the end?

One of the best threads IMO! Frame rotting issues are the norm in these parts, and too many 4Runners sent for scrap because of them. Thanks Durk for providing such a wealth of info...and hope! Lol!
