1999 tall springs on a 2001

Hi - can a set of tall springs (front and rear) from a 1999 4Runner be installed on a 2001 without any other modifications? I need to replace the suspension on my 2001 Limited, and to save a few bucks thought about using a set of hardly used springs left over from a '99. Would '99 shocks/struts be needed as well? Thanks!

I've got 99 tall springs on mine, I would also add the bilstein rear 5100 shocks to get that smooth ride and also be able to do trails.

In the rear it is as easy swapping the springs. In the front you'll have to take apart the old strut assembly and rebuild with your new springs.

I have the Moog 99 spec springs on my 2001 Limited 4wd along with T4r 5100s. Ride is great and extra lift in rear.
