Was just out in Hill 60 area last weekend. Some awesome little roads and trails to test the limits of a more stock 4Runner. If you head down Hillcrest road on the highway to lake cowichan. Turn left about a km after the 90 degree right and you will see an open gate. Head in there and explore around!

Sorry for the late reply... My RAS system ended up failing and I did the conversion over to coils in the rear. I used FJ Moog coils all around. The rear sits slightly higher but the line sof the truck look well and it levels out when I have the 4R loaded down or towing.

I went with FJ coils all around from MOOG paired with my 5100s. It is definitely the cheaper option but I actually really like the ride. It is quite firm at first but they ease up over a couple thousand miles. I have the fronts set to .85" and the rear sits a little higher. Does anyone know if...

Usually keep it around 2k RPM on the highway, v8 5spd. I find hills to be annoying and it constantly shifts into 4th and wont get into 5th for longer than I want it to. In cruise control it has to be flat, whenever the cruise control tries to pick up speed, it drops down 4th and gives it full beans!

Exactly, I've heard 90% good things about this tire. I ran them on my First Gen 4R and always performed awesome for how good they are on the road. I am not sure the rating, I will have to check. The tire shop didn't ask when I bought them of any other options. Anyways, had to buy a new tire...

Thanks for the information. It was just a misfortune and I think almost any tire would of been punctured in this situation.

I had those on my Xterra, good tire for the price. Being that these only have 300kms on them, i will just replace the one and call it bad luck.

Just had a set of Goodyear Duratrac Wranglers installed last week 255/75. Set out into the logging roads yesterday, ran over a stick(1" diameter), it punctured straight into the sidewall about a good 6 inches in there. They are a pretty good tire from what I understand they have great ratings...

I would recommend replacing them with the 06+ OEM headlights. You can find them online such as, rockauto.com They are projector style and you can easily install LEDs in them. You also have to install a grill trim piece which is also on rockauto. Plenty of write-ups online for the conversion.

The shocks are awesome. I installed MOOG FJ coils along with them and set them to .85" setting. Riding very solid now and also retained the RAS. Love going over speed humps now at speed :)

I'm surprised that your 5100's came with that nice perch. I just installed some and the perch they came with seems pretty flimsy compared to that one.
