Nice! I actually did the samething except I mounted my new speakers directly onto these. Quick and easy way to make adapters. I had to dremel out the rim on the inside of the inner door panels to fit them, but otherwised works great.

This feels like a dumb question, but how do you test the continuity with your multimeter without cutting the wires? Can you just clamp onto the insulation?
