Rear Ended, Hitch Receiver Damage --> Frame Damage?

Pushed straight in. Thats a lot of metal to move so hopefully all the force was contained in the hitch.

    Rear tailgate disassembly.

http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/45676-hatch-lock-cylinder-pushed.html I posted my solution a few years ago. Terminology is tough to keep the same and search for. Good luck.

Rear Ended, Hitch Receiver Damage --> Frame Damage?

2002 4Runner Limited 2 nights ago someone decided to skid in to a pile of stopped cars, causing a 4 car bumper tango. If car "4" was the one that hit everyone, I was car "2" and cars 1-3 were all stopped. Car 4 probably hit going around 10mph after skidding downhill in the rain. Car 4 is...

Hatch lock cylinder is pushed in

I did this a few weeks ago. Open your tailgate, go to a small cloth strap on the tailgate and open the plastic piece, showing you a bolt. Unscrew this bolt. Then get a flat blade (I use a butter knife) and start prying the plastic tailgate from the sheet metal tailgate. There are about 15 snaps...

    HVAC control lighting isn't working

I also replaced mine last week. Remove your dash and take out your HVAC controller. Take it to the dealer, and show him what areas aren't lit up. He can order the correct light bulbs. There are 4 total, sounds like you have a couple burned out. They were $6.50 each for me.

Connecting antenna to afternmarket head unit

First, it depends on the head unit that is used. Some will bring the antenna down if not on radio, some are just a constant on while head unit is on. And second I am thinking I didn't connect my antenna turn on lead to the head unit, so the antenna isn't getting a signal to go up when head unit...

Connecting antenna to afternmarket head unit

Thanks so far, lets dig deeper, if you guys know. There are two wires, ones big, ones little, for the antenna. If you follow these, they go to a little box, probably an amp. Has anyone tried removing this box from the line? I wish I had a wiring schematic for the setup. Also, my antenna...

Connecting antenna to afternmarket head unit

Ok, I've seen this brought up multiple times, but no answer. I have a 3rd gen 4Runner, and have installed an aftermarket head unit. They have one antenna connection. 4runners were designed for the diversity antenna. I want my radio, I like radio. What wire do I need to connect to make the...

    Instrument Panel Lights

I took apart the air controller. There are tiny LEDs that are attached to the circuit board by a simple twist off. I took the board to the dealer and he ordered me two new LEDs. $6.80 each. Hope they work!

    Instrument Panel Lights

Some dimmer lights out Some of my lights on my dash do not work anymore. I installed a new stereo the day I bought it, so I don't know if I broke it or it was originally broken. The lights on the right circle do not work, while the lights in the left circle do work. With only one side working...

    Tailgate Key Hole Popped Off

2002 4runner, limited. I go to stick my key in the keyhole in the tailgate, and the key cylinder popped off its clip and fell in to the bottom of the tailgate. Now I just have a hole in my tailgate and water can get in. How do I open up the tailgate to retrieve the cylinder and try to rehook it...
