2002 4Runner Limited
2 nights ago someone decided to skid in to a pile of stopped cars, causing a 4 car bumper tango. If car "4" was the one that hit everyone, I was car "2" and cars 1-3 were all stopped. Car 4 probably hit going around 10mph after skidding downhill in the rain.
Car 4 is paying for all repairs, I already have my shiny new Chevy Cobalt that smells like dog farts, its great... Front bumper is cracked. Back bumper is dented in several inches. Easy replacements.
My question is the about hitch receiver. It was dented in about an inch. They are going to replace the hitch reciever either way, but I told them I'm very concerned about frame damage. They are going to check it out. How common is it for there to be frame damage caused by the hitch reciever? Fixable and minor, or moderate and dimished value causing?
A special thanks to the dumbass driving 50mph on a wet city street when traffic is bumper to bumper. Now I get to disclose an accident when I sell my otherwise mint 4Runner!!
