Tailgate Key Hole Popped Off

2002 4runner, limited. I go to stick my key in the keyhole in the tailgate, and the key cylinder popped off its clip and fell in to the bottom of the tailgate. Now I just have a hole in my tailgate and water can get in.

How do I open up the tailgate to retrieve the cylinder and try to rehook it up? I can't find a screw holes!

On my 4runner, there is a little srtap on the inside of the tail gate which is covered by a plastic cap which pops off to reaveal a bolt. If your tailgate has that, take the bolt out and the panel should pop off because its just cliped on. use a flat head screw driver to pop it off from where the hatch lock is and take it from there.
Idk about the 2002 4runners but its an idea on where you can start.
