    better gas mileage....v8

Obviously life is a give and take senario. Can some expert on engine intake explain what just happenned. The good is the obvious increase in MPG. What about the bad?? I mean what do that second carbon filter prevent from entering the combustion chamber. Typically carbon is use for filtering...

    Better touch-up paint?

I think it was a hit and miss situation and you just got lucky. Who else have order paint from paintscratch.com and also had a "perfect" match? The point is: Local dealer Toyota paint is $8 tax included and paintscratch.com paint is $20 shipped. If either touchup is gonna match perfectly...

Used turtle wax brand "ICE" wax and love it

For light color - synthetic is king.. I don't think I will ever go back to the natural inferior stuff. If you have a dark car then sucks for you - you will need the natural stuff to get that deep shine.

Drive shaft noise or U joint noise (LEXUS 4/06 TSB page 18) aka Driveshaft thump/bump

Re: Re: Getting a new driveshaft... I love my 4runner. Only wish this clunking wasn't soo annoying. Now that the new Tundra came out. I have another reason of wanting to get rid of this 4runner. I am gettin real FED UP with this clunking. Can you please layout the lemon law. I...

Drive shaft noise or U joint noise (LEXUS 4/06 TSB page 18) aka Driveshaft thump/bump

That is probably the biggest reason why these shaft are so problematic. I said this before and I will say it again. I only wish I new about this grease the shaft maintaince begining day 1. Those 20% that didn't make it - probably wore beyond the point of no return.

Used turtle wax brand "ICE" wax and love it

Thank for the reviews - you gineau pigs... :D I haven't tried ICE - however after a recent frustration with natural carnabu wax. I did a much in-dept research on type of wax. I am also going with ICE. why?? (1) It is 100% pure synthentic polymer and (2) readly available at your local...

    natural or synthetic

I bought some 100% carnabu wax. After this particular post. I done some extensive research on waxing. Available are: (1) natural wax, (2) blend of wax/polimer, and (3) full synthetic polymer. Bottomline is: Natural carnabu wax have a deep glossy shine to it but don't last very long and...

    natural or synthetic

I recently put on a coat of 100% carnauba wax to the body and a coat of rain-X to the windshield. Both the carnauba wax and rain-X was totally wash off from one night of straight hard rain. This wash off happened in less than a week after spending a whole sunday afternoon detailing. So...

    Hill Assist - HAC

Now that I can agree. "Prevent excessive wheel spin to keep vehicle from losing control on uphill take off." Man - I was hoping HAC was hill brake instead. Anyway to make HAC into hill brake??

    Hill Assist - HAC

I have always though HAC was suppose to be like "hill brakes" After I bought the vehicle I find that HAC is the same damm thing as DAC. DAC = rolling down hill slowly going forward regardless of shift position. HAC = rolling down hill slowly going reverse regardless of shift position.

    Hill Assist - HAC

DAC is legit - Great for doing down hills. VSC is legit - Saved my family from a major fatal accident. HAC - how do you get this thing to work again???
