For a few weeks now whenever I turn on my A/C it smell like something died in my vents. I changed my cabin air filter, still stinks, I found a dead bird in my radiator, removed that, still stinks. Anyone have any clues on how to get the stink out or where another furry friend might have croaked...

I recently had to replace both of my front brake calipers due to frozen pistons...this was pretty easy thanks to everyones posts. I was wondering if anyone had any trouble with the rear calipers? My front calipers were so rusted I am nervous about the rear.

Here are some of the pics of the bad caliper, i can not believe how corroded it was. The hardest part of this project was getting the rusted bolts loose that were holding the old calipers on. Its amazing how much this saved me. The stealership wanted almost 1500 for everything i needed...

Thanks Thanks for everyone's help, i replaced the passenger side pads and caliper with the help of the awesome write up. I then went to replace the driver side pads and what did i find, another frozen caliper, so i went back up to advanced auto and got a new one and replaced the driver side...

what brand replacement did you use, i was looking at the A1 Cardone calipers

Has nothing to do with 4 runners but is still awesome. This happend on my way to Oktoberfest in Germany, a bunch of Germans rear ended each other and crashed into our tour bus. Not only did they get into an accident but they crashed into a bus full of drunk Americans.

Im thinking of replacing my front right brake caliper with one from discount auto, brand name A cardone..... dont know if this is a good idea but i also dont want to fork out 400 bucks for an OEM.... anyone know a good website to get a good deal on OEM reman calipers

where do you guys recommend getting the remand calipers, or is there a good set of aftermarket ones you could recommend

I never noticed anything wrong with the brakes, i just noticed that the front brakes were worn the last time i rotated my tires so i scheduled the brake job to replace them. I dont understand how the dealership couldnt decompress the piston

So I took my 04 in to the dealership to get the 60,0000 mile maintenence done, and my front brake pads and rotors replaced. I received a call a few hours later from toyota informing me that a piston on the front passenger side brake will not retract which is grinding my pads down, so much so...

what is roadforce balanced??

probably more for looks, my stock one has rusted and i had to cut the bolts off just to change the oil, i figured might as well buy a brand new one with new bolts and everything.

Revos Anyone else with revos notice that the steering wheel shakes at high speeds and have a tough time staying straight. The place that installed the tires said they balanced them and checked the allignment, maybe i should take it somewhere else.

Im looking at getting a skid plate however i was curious how far under the truck do they extend, does it just cover the front air dam?
