I have a 22re that the head gasket is starting to go. i want to rebuild it with more power. any suggestions?
I herd some where that you can put 22r head on the 22re block, put your 22re intake and exhaust on. and you get more power.
Is this fact or fiction?
also any other tips for a rebuild...
i found the sensor, the wires from the sensor to the harness are toast. - do you have a picture i can look at for the L bracket? there is know way i want to pull the intake apart.

my 91 v6 auto gave me a code 52, knock sensor. what is the knock sensor? i also herd that it could be the wiring for the knock sensor? any hints or suggestions, thanks
my 88 did the same thing. the coolant was leaking out the side of the block. where the block and head meet together. oil was fine and coolant was fine. but i still had to replace the head gasket
i got two codes, 42 and 52.
I'm pretty sure its the speed sensor and a knock sensor.
my odometer stopped working a little while ago, I'm not sure about the knock sensor.
i'm up in canada, they don't do that here.
is it an obd2 connector? obd1?is there a manual way to find out the codes? i would rather spend 100 dollars on the code checker then 40 to go to the local garage.
my 91 3.0L v6 has a problem passing emission tests and the engine light is on.
