    Official Reveal Thread 2025 6th gen 4Runner

Nobody asked, but here are my thoughts on the new 6th gen anyway (which I'm somehow just seeing today for the first time). The styling is ok, it's like a blend between 4th and 5th gen. I never liked the styling of the 4th gen but I do mostly like this. I don't like the laid back angle of the...

    Pricing on 3rd Gens

Haha well whatever I get is going to be 4x4, no doubt. I can't live without that. I do want to keep the 4Runner - I'm just worried that if I get a shiny new truck or SUV, the 4Runner is going to sit and never get used. I keep telling myself I'd take the 4Runner out wheeling sometimes, but I...

    Pricing on 3rd Gens

We have a '21 Sienna that we use for family trips. It's a hybrid, and gets pretty good mileage, and I really like it as well. But I can't take that down some of the roads I take for camping trips. I've looked at the Sequoia, but the Gen 2 is a big gas hog. I'd been hoping the Gen 3 would be...

    Pricing on 3rd Gens

Haha, I do love my 4Runner dearly. But I have 5 kids now, and can't fit more than 2 in the 4Runner. So far I've only needed to fit the two oldest (4 and 6) for camping trips, but soon enough #3 will be old enough to want to go too, so I need to get something bigger eventually.

    Pricing on 3rd Gens

Ok, that is unbelievable. How are they selling for 2x what I bought mine for, 11 years ago? I guess most of those do seem to be in very good condition, and mine has a good deal of wear, but I still wonder what I could get for it now.

    Pricing on 3rd Gens

I've been thinking about upgrading soon to something larger than my aging 3rd Gen (which I love, and which has been the most wonderful and reliable vehicle) to accommodate myself and my kids better. I'm not sure yet whether I'll keep or sell the 4Runner, and if I do sell I'll likely sell it to a...

    3rd Gen T4R Picture Gallery

This happened today at lunch. The blue 4th gen on the far right, and the silver one on the far left were there already when I pulled up.

Tips on power brake booster install!

20 Minutes?? I need to do mine ASAP but I'm still not sure of all the steps. Can you provide a little more detail about what all you did? I was going to work on it today but it was 110+ degrees and I didn't even want to think about working in my garage.

Installing the ball joints correctly helps immensely. Here are the numbers after the alignment today.

Help with camber alignment after 3" lift

In my defense I was pretty tired by the time I got to this point in the installation. Anyway, thanks for all the help, everyone! I'll let you know if I still have problems after tomorrow.

Help with camber alignment after 3" lift

You and Coward are right. I don't know how I missed this the first time around. I called SPC too and the tech knew immediately what I had done wrong. I'm guessing I'm not the first one to make that mistake. I'll turn that ball joint around tonight and get it back to the shop tomorrow. I guess...

Help with camber alignment after 3" lift

I need to move the top ball joint nut away from the vehicle to lower my camber? That seems backwards to me, but unfortunately the SPC directions didn't say which direction was positive/negative. The alignment tech did not want to touch the UCA, even though I provided him with the instruction sheet.

Help with camber alignment after 3" lift

Thanks for the replies so far. I'm at work right now so I don't know how much more info I can provide, and won't have much time to get under the car and get pictures of the eccentrics. I'm going to call the tech today and ask him what he did with the eccentrics. I think part of the problem is...

Help with camber alignment after 3" lift

Here's the instructions from SPC on installing/adjusting the UCAs: http://www.spcalignment.com/instructions/25460-INS_WEB.pdf I have the Caster setting at the default "D" location, and the camber should be as negative as possible (I think) because I have the ball joint slid as far toward the...

Help with camber alignment after 3" lift

Hi all, I installed my Toytec/Eibach (P/N TTHA-9602) lift yesterday, along with SPC Upper Control Arms (P/N 25460). It's supposed to provide 3" of lift over stock, but was actually a lot more than that with my 18-year-old saggy coils and shocks. It looks great and rides great now. However, the...
