Would cleaning the MAF sensor knock it out of calibration?? Also, do you know a procedure to calibrate it? I have never had to do that.. :confused:

I have a 3 liter V6 4runner that will stall when the accelerator is pressed too lightly but once the vehicle gets going down the road, if I take my foot off the accelerator and then put my foot back on the accelerator, then the RPMs drop down by about 1,000-1200 RPM for a fraction of a second...

I am curious because I am getting a continuously blinking OBD1 code, which indicates nothing is wrong... It has been doing it for about 3 weeks now but today is the first time it actually would not start, we did however make it home after we got it started.

Thanks for the ideas. I replaced the plugs and wires... I suppose the fuel pump is next.

I have a 95 4runner, automatic, 4WD, 3.0l v6. Lately I have been having trouble starting but couldn't get it to start. I know its not the battery or starter because it turns over but then it tries to idle for about a split second then the engine dies. I finally got it running by turning the key...

Mine is doing the same thing. It mostly does it when it is cold though and doesn't have any real problems after it has been out and about for a while. Have you found any solid reasons why yours is doing so?
