    Folding seat button broken

Reinstalled it! Well frankly, that was pretty easy. Just made a sorta slipknot/lasso, dropped it around the shaft and fiddled around 'til the button found it. (Insert joke here.) Moral of the story: When you use this button try to turn it clockwise to ensure it stays put. Design idea...

    Folding seat button broken

Found my button! Part 2 Reinstalling will be a pain. I'm going to try to wrap some dental floss around the post to pull towards center so I can thread the thing back on. Wish me luck!

    Folding seat button broken

Found my button! It was on the floor, where it had fallen out when I put down the setback. It's diameter is about 3/4" and it's an inch and about 1/16" tall. I'll try to attach two pics.

    Folding seat button broken

Thank you! That did it. I hadn't wanted to do that b/c I wasn't sure it would work and it was painful. So, based on your rec, I went ahead, but I grabbed a pen to push it with. Worked like a charm. Thank you very much.

    Folding seat button broken

Very disappointing. Not Toyota-like at all. On the driver's side rear seat, the button that releases the back is broken or has fallen inside the seat back. I need to release that to fold it down. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Paul

Does the v6 model have AWD like my v8??

New to 2007 4Runner Where can I learn all these details? Couldn't find them in the manual. My 2000 manual wasn't much help on that vehicle either. I'm sure glad to have found this thread. So, on my 2007 Ltd V8 4wd, I take from this thread that I am in AWD always, and that I can lock the...

    Rear compartment shelf removal

I just purchased a 2007 Ltd w/ the rear shelf that lifts onto the wheel well covers. I need to remove it b/c it robs me of an inch and a half of height back there. Are there any secrets to doing this? I'm gonna just go back and see how many screws I can find, and go from there. Will check...

Horrible News from Toyota Owners site

Legal Issues I'm a CA attorney, but without any lemon law knowledge, and I'm way south, in Long Beach. I also don't really know much about small claims court cases. I know that the following would be expensive if you hire a lawyer to do it, but just in case any of this helps: If you file a...

    Pulling a trailer

Trailer shape physics Hello, Everyone! This is my first post here. I'm about to begin building a trailer for work and camping. I will build it on the frame of a flatbed utility trailer. The one I have is 14', and the plan is to make it 8' x 14' or so. I may not use this trailer, though...
