Fuses hot w/out keys in ignition

Okay, so now I'm begging. Will somebody with EFI on a first gen 4runner do a voltage test at the EFI fuse? I want to be sure this is my problem before I invest 100 bucks in a new ignition switch. Thanks

Fuses hot w/out keys in ignition

4 fuses have power 1. Cig 2. Stop 3. Dome 4. EFI first three make sense to me and we're fairly low compared to the EFI which if my memory serves me correctly was pulling 12. Should the EFI be pulling anything with the ignition off?

    A/T Oil Temp....freaking out!!!

While we're on the subject...in a moment of stupidity I pulled the plug on the transmission fluid pan. When I saw red I immediately put the plug back in, checked the levels, and fired it up. The light instantly came on without even shifting out of park. Since I'm also having alternator...

Fuses hot w/out keys in ignition

I've started tracking down what is draining my battery. When there is NO key in the ignition my EFI is still pulling a pretty good load. Is this normal?

    Cat Back Exhaust - Suggestions?

Okay, I'm close to half way through. I've got the old exhaust out. I started stripping a nut on the old direct fit cat so I opted to pull the drop pipe with catalytic converter so I could get a better angle on it. When I get it all back together I'll post the pieces I used, links, and price...

    Cat Back Exhaust - Suggestions?

Sorry for repeating "this exhaust" and "this recommended exhaust". Sounds like I'm being a jerk but the label for the link didn't come out like I expected.

    Cat Back Exhaust - Suggestions?

So, I called the second time after waiting for internet service to return and the guy at 4wheel parts told me they don't carry an exhaust for an 88 Toyota 4runner. He took my number, called me back, and told me he couldn't find anything. In essence, take it to the local shop and pay your 300 for...

    Exhaust help

I'm needing a cat-back exhaust system for my 88 4runner. I took it to the local muffler shop and it's a $300 plus job. Any body have a cheaper way to pass TX inspection?

    Removing the top

I like Roger's method. It gives me a place to start. My additional headache is I'm under a carport and it can get pretty windy. It would not be a good thing to come home from a great day 4wheeling to find my top in pieces!

    Removing the top

One of the reasons I bought a first generation 4runner was so I could take the top off on those nice spring days. The problem is that joker is heavy and there's no way I can do it by myself. Does anyone have a good system for getting the top on and off? Tell me how you did it and can you post...
