I like it. Throw on the TRD Pro wheels and lift kit and it'll look even more badass. I remember when the 5th gen redesign front end came out and haters galore. Then all of a sudden........
I purchased the jack nut along with the screw and washers as referenced in post #230. My local ACE hardware had everything in stock and total only cost me $8.00
KDSS 4Runners have a hole already in place however it isn't threaded. That explains the use for additional hardware (jack nut...
That is correct. I also used the top mount spacer as well. Still drives really smooth but this will also depend on your tire selection. The E loads were rough in comparison to the the C loads I've got on now.
Let me help clarify what the kit consists of. The Toytech 2" kit comes with the Baja 1" coil spring seat along with a top mount spacer which provides approximately .5-.75" of lift. Total it's more like 1.5-1.75" total so roughly 2.5-2.75" over stock. Several people including myself have been...
I can get you measurements later when I get home no problem. I have yet to put the rears under any type of load but I'm sure there are several members here who can give feedback. I don't know the specific spring rate but I do know that Toytech advertises them as 10% over stock.
I had the same concerns as you. After seeing photos of the T13 under load I didn't like the reverse rake look. Without any load the lift looks perfect. I decided to go with the Toytech 2" lift made specifically for the TRD Pro suspension. I ended up returning my T13s and I'm very happy with the...
Thank you for this. Glad to see the kit is still available. I was hoping someone had a PDF file of the bumper template. The rest I can just do on my own without buying the actual kit.
I'm curious how most bodyshops will handle replacement bumpers for TRD Pro owners
It is only rubbing very slightly on full lock in reverse. Every other driving situation there is no rub. Turning the wheel all the way inwards I can see the small corner where it touches the bumper. What's helping is the KO2 is 285 runs smaller that usual.
Does a template exist on how much of the front bumper they trim at the port for the TRD Pro? I'd like to trim my front bumper as close as possible to how they are done at the port. I know there was a kit being sold a while back but that is now discontinued.
I had SWAT do my install earlier this week. I'm completely satisfied with their work and have no problem referring people to them. Brian and the crew know their Toyota's.
Finally got this lift put on the other day. Night and day difference over the factory setup. Like someone had mentioned earlier, it just feels more planted and compliant especially going over bumps. I am 100% satisfied with this setup in conjunction with the Toytech 2” lift kit for TRD Pro. I...
