Just wanted to show the areas of concern I have found on my 2000 4Runner with 241,000 miles. Overhead map light not working: corrosion on ground wire. Rear dome light not working, and rear hatch door lock not working: broken wires where hatch door hinges. Clogged Catalytic Converter: dropped it...

Funny Neal you should say that! Guess what I found to be the problem to my rear hatch lock not working electrically? Broken wire, to be exact, the Black with Yellow wire going to the lock motor. Just happened to tug on it and wham-o. Spliced it...works great.

My 2000 SR5 V6 4Runner's rear hatch will not lock or latch electrically with remote or side door key locks. Works fine with hatch key only. Can't find wire diagram for my model, if anyone has this, I would really appreciate a copy. :gossip:
