Rear hatch lock inop

My 2000 SR5 V6 4Runner's rear hatch will not lock or latch electrically with remote or side door key locks. Works fine with hatch key only. Can't find wire diagram for my model, if anyone has this, I would really appreciate a copy. :gossip:

I have the '99 Door Lock scanned from my paper EWD. '99 and '00 are usually identical electically. Shoot me an e-mail address by PM and I'll send it to you. The .pdf is slightly over the site limit for attachments so I can't put it here.

Does 96-98 have this feature? Or was it at 99+ only kind of thing? Wondering if my lock is broken or if I never had the feature in the first place.

My 87 sr5 had nothing working on the hatch when i got it no power lock, window or wiper. Turned out to be broken wires were they come from the body into the hatch door, pull back the black rubber sleeve on the wiring and look for broken wires. Its a reaaly common issue caused by years of openening and closing the hatch, it pulls and rubs the wires until they brake.

Funny Neal you should say that! Guess what I found to be the problem to my rear hatch lock not working electrically? Broken wire, to be exact, the Black with Yellow wire going to the lock motor. Just happened to tug on it and wham-o. Spliced it...works great.
