replaced my alternator with a duralast from autozone, in a 172k miles 1997 SR5. the 3 prong plug connector looks pretty shot. i've attached a photo for review. my battery light stays on, and i replaced the old one with a battery with 10 cold cranking amps less than the old one. guy at the shop...

i followed the link but i still can't find the section for jack lifting the car :( bottle jack worked great, placed it right under the axle - no jack stand needed. i can't thank y'all enough for the tip, i had no idea the gear was under the rear seat and the seat was a little crooked too.

haha thanks, unfortunately i didn't get an owners manual. the one i found online didn't have a section for lifting the car. but i did find the bottle jack under the back seat. thanks a lot for that tip, save my buddy a trip out here and saved me some $$.

i didn't think to check under the rear passenger seat, that would solve my problems immediately if there is a bottle jack. anywhere low enough to support the weight had no wiggle room for me to use the scissor jack. thanks for the headsup, i've got a buddy coming over with a floor jack to help...

Well I was wrongly informed on the AWD and mileage, my referral did not have the correct information. This SR5 has 169k so basically 170k miles, no rust but it's missing the T-Globe emblem and the front bumper needs replacing. I am a little bit bummed that it's only RWD but for the price - $2500...
