how does the 3.0 do pushing around the 33's? I'd like to put some on mine but I also have to drive 1300 miles with it twice a year so I'm a little hesitant on how it will do on the highway.

Those midgets... saw 3 of them running out the tailpipe just now. No whoever shot it definitely did it from the outside, looks like it skid into the side at an angle from the front tire. I like the beer can and puddy idea! Maybe I'll just armor the whole thing like that while I'm down there :rockon:

Not sure exactly when it happened, I assume it was doing some fast dirt trail riding through the corn fields last week. It dropped down to 0 a few days ago and I noticed a blast of exhaust shooting at me when I was brushing snow off. Sure enough there was a nice ding right in the muffler, looks...

I recently moved up to beautiful South Dakota. My 4runner has been doing great until this past week. Temperatures dropped to around -20 some nights and rarely got above 10 during the day. The other day on start up I noticed a loud whining coming from what sounds like under the hood somewhere...

well here is the update! She made it to South Dakota with no problems whatsoever. Heck, I'd even go so far as to say she is running better than ever. Thanks for the replies, you guys helped give me some peace of mind for the trip.

Thanks for the replies. It will drop down to the line around the middle when I idle for a while. But it usually stays around that mark in the pic. I'll go ahead and trust that the gauge is off an try some of that thick stuff. FoG I do have to say that your build thread has been my favorite to...

I thought about using thicker oil but I am nervous how it will affect my oil pressure? If my pressure is already high wouldn't the thicker viscosity make it even higher? I guess what I would really need to do is get a manual gauge and test the pressure for myself to see if it really is high...
