I recently moved up to beautiful South Dakota. My 4runner has been doing great until this past week. Temperatures dropped to around -20 some nights and rarely got above 10 during the day. The other day on start up I noticed a loud whining coming from what sounds like under the hood somewhere behind the driver side. It almost sounds like a power steering pump but the sound increases with speed, not when I turn the wheel. It doesn't rev up with the engine but only as I go faster. After the truck is warmed up the sound seems to go away, although I haven't done extensive driving to confirm how accurate that is. I attached a video which will hopefully help identify the problem. Even with the sound the vehicle seems to handle relatively normal, but like I said I haven't driven for more than 5-10mins at a time and haven't gotten up to any decent speeds where performance would be a bigger factor. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
