This might be the dumbest question I've ever had to ask - but how the heck do you get the bulbs out of the map lights? I bought an interior LED bulb replacement kit. Swapped all the bulbs out no problem - except for the two map light bulbs. There's just no room to get fingers around them...

I've got a 2007 4Runner Limited with 164,000 on the clock. Just blew the engine. Everything else is good. What do you think it's worth without replacing the engine?

Yup, I kept at it. A couple of days later it just started working again. I've tested numerous times since then and it always engages with no problem. Weird. I guess it just likes to be used!

If I'm understanding your picture correctly, you used the rust colored wire coming off the console power plug as power and the striped one for ground, correct? Just did this exact mod and can't get power. I'm stumped. Yes, I've checked fuses, key on, quick connect splice, etc. Totally stumped!

I've read the manual. Also, this is not first rodeo with a 4Runner. I had my 05 for 344,000 miles, multiple winters and never had a problem with 4Low. The manual doesn't diagnose mechanical problems. :bash:

Hi Guys Gals, As the topic suggests, my 2007 4Runner will not go into 4 Low. It just beeps and beeps and beeps but does not engage. I've tried everything I can think of. No joy. 4High works no problem. Any idea on what the problem might be? Thanks!:redbrick:

No, it was running great - consuming no oil. My mechanic felt 99% certain that the failure was related to the piston or connecting rod. Even in limp mode, she was shaking like crazy. Rest in peace, old girl
