    Excess play front axle question

Actually mines is the opposite, passenger had little to no play and the driver one flopped around. Talked to a Senior Toyota tech and he said this was normal, I went ahead and replaced the needle bearing with an ECGS bearing and most of the play went away. To the OP....if their going to replace...

    Vibration During 4WD Acceleration

Sorry to hear about your situation but everything you listed would be the same thing that I would do. Only suggestion that I would have is double checking all your nuts and bolts that you R&R and make sure that your axle is seated properly on your hubs.

For California residents - Much difference in registration between 2019 and new?

Either way you're still going to get rape by our state, IMO I would just go new due to the cost of used ones on the market right now. Also I will assume that on a new one, insurance should be cheaper due to the safety items that aren't on the 2019's. Good luck.

    2020 4R needle bearing

True statement, had my (MY19) replaced under the TSB at 15k due to noise. Now at 35k the noise is starting to come back and there is a lot of play with the driver side axle. Just ordered the ECGS bearing and will be installing it this weekend.

    Who's going electric lime????

After crunching the numbers I'll need to see what the wife says, she may just want to keep the Voodoo Blue but then I'll have payments again. Having both would be great. She's ready to move on from her big SUV because our third child will be in college next year so we won't be needing it...

    Who's going electric lime????

I'm also on the fence on selling my Voodoo Blue and getting the Lime Rush. Because of my discount and the resale value of these 4Runners I'll pretty much break even financially but with a newer truck. Was going to do it last year for the Lunar but saw that it came in other trims so I backed out...

PSA-Factory Pro Fox Shocks are servicable...

Did a search and couldn't find any info on this and just wanted to let you Pro owners know that your factory Fox shocks are serviceable and Fox even provide the cost of the rebuild and instructions on how to send it in. Below is the email confirmation that I got back from them when I contacted...

How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

While picking up the Lunar Rock Tundra Pro at the dealership this last Friday, I saw a older gentleman paying $65K OTD for a Lunar Rock 4Runner. That's almost $20k more than what I paid for my 2019 Pro 2 years ago and $10K more than the Tundra I picked up that same day. Crazy mark up prices...
