Well so far its OK - I upgraded the hitch and the trailer is a high-end dual axle adjusted for 500 lbs tongue weight. Still no supercharger info on this supercharger thread...funny ;)

I'm not asking about any other improvements - I am asking about trd supercharger performance. Anybody have any experience in this area? Thanks :)

I haven't looked at chips because unless a car or truck is turbo/supercharged they are not cost effective. Unless it is an illegal chip you'll only get like 10-20 hp out of it, all at the very top of the range. Chips on turbo/supercharged engines make a BIG difference, but my 4Runner is...

I tow a 7000 lb boat+trailer around with my '03 4runner v8 and definitely am at the limit for the truck. Some hills have my engine struggling. I'm not even going to go into the mildly alarming yanking the trailer does to the rear underway ;) What do you think, would the supercharger solve the...

Could be hilly, but not certainly not mountenous(along the east coast). I'm sure I could move the thing a short way but wanted to know whether a decent distance would destroy the 4runner, me and the cargo ;) Sounding like I may be outa luck.

I'm considering a boat that when fully outfitted would weigh in at close to 7000 lbs, without the trailer. Think my V8 4Runner with upgraded hitch and weight distributing apparatus could do the occasional careful towing trip? Am I gonna be forced to get a Tahoe? ;)

Yeah but you're running 16 inch wheels and I'm on 17s... Maybe I'll try the battery disconnect thing. Am I gonna have to reprogram anything (like the radio)?

Any of you speed racers have larger-than-stock tires? Mine are 270s. I wonder if that is messing with the trucks' brain (the dealer says it shouldn't).
