i did notice that it looked like oil had been spraying into the alternator. i dont know if that's a tell-tale sign of anything.

something in the engine started making weird noises while i was driving, so i pulled over into a safe parking lot... after having to restart it now and then. sounds like a fan hitting something. ran some listening diagnostics through mechanic friends of mine and now the engine apparently froze...

ha! turns out it was the ignitor/ignition coil. only about a grand in difference.

fuel pump stopped on the way home from work today. ugh. :(

any other way to check the condition of the fuel pump? ...without removing the gas tank?

i've had this problem for about a week now. it's usually taking about 5 minutes to start and when it does, it often has problems in the first gear (under 20 mph... mostly under 10 mph) with hesitation and chugging. once it's going, it runs pretty normal and i can shut it off and have it start up...

this cant be normal for a 94 v6. i've even got a mass air flow filter installed. what should i be looking at? i've tried different "mix-with-gas" products (seafoam and the like) and a trick i heard about just slamming the gas for awhile to shoot out the crud from the jets. i've thought fuel...
