I now have 306k miles on my 2006 Tacoma with essentially the same engine as our 4Runners. No engine repairs or trouble at all. All I did when it was new was drive the crap out of it. I took a 1500 mile trip like the second day I had it. Just drive it.

I just installed a set of Wet Okole seat covers in my 2012 TE. I bought them through a group buy on Tacoma World. Install went OK, the front covers are a pain in the ass, while the rears are easy. These are black and charcoal. The TRD logo is an option the Wet Okole offers.

I had the same problem deciding between the FJ Trail Teams and the T4RTE. I found the FJ just involved too many compromises with the back seat. Have you considered a Tacoma? Perhaps a doublecab?

It is only a single data point, but my 1GR-FE 06 Tacoma has 302k miles on it with no issues.

The radio text information is displayed in a very small size font. Can it be set to a larger size? "4Runner" is displayed in a very large font when the radio is turned on, one would think this is possible, but I have not been able to find out where the setting is made. Anybody know how?
