1999 Won't Start, Single Click but Not Starter Contacts

Didn't have much time to work on it this weekend (still recovering with a bunch of down trees for the storms out in CA and the 49'er game - go 9'ers) but I did replace the starter solenoid and that didn't take care of it either. I will break out the multimeter and start getting some voltage...

1999 Won't Start, Single Click but Not Starter Contacts

I hope it isn't the last problem. I have cleaned the battery terminals and even ordered a new ground cable...but (surprise) it doesn't fit so I just made a new body/ground connector with braided wire. I've ordered a solenoid to try that next and am keeping my fingers crossed...thanks for the...

1999 Won't Start, Single Click but Not Starter Contacts

I have a 1999 4Runner Limited 6 cyl 4WD. It was working fine but the other day I went to start it up and got a single click but nothing else (the starter solenoid engaging). Not the dead battery machine gun clicking, just one click from the starter solenoid. Just to make sure, I charged the...

Another Stupid Smog Question - hO2 Isn't Resetting

I have a 1999 SR5 4Runner (6 cyl, Auto, CA model) that I can't get to pass smog just because the hO2 sensor (I'm assuming that this is the upstream one) won't reset. Everything else has reset and is good to go, but the hO2 sensor hasn't reset yet. Now I've replaced both O2 sensors, cleaned the...

How To: Make Your Own Rear O2 Simulator for $5

So which wire should the positive of the capacitor go to? White or blue?

Just bought a 2002 T4R with 200k miles what to do first?

First: Read this http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/82033-3rd-gen-4runner-buyers-guide.html Then (since my 4Runner has just over 200k and I went thru this about a year ago) think about replacing the lower ball joints (they can fail after 200k) and possibly the radiator (I did both)...

Speedy's Lift Install with "How To" Video

I've been waiting for you to post this and without even looking at it I want to give you a huge thanks. Shocks and springs should arrive tomorrow meaning I will be spending this weekend flat on my back with my baby above me!

    ANOTHER Shock and Lift Question

Thanks to everyone for the help. Looks like shocks and springs for me. I'll get the OME front springs as well. One other thing, I AM (eventually) getting a WENCH and I'll be mounting her hard and firmly on the front (replacement) bumper (if the wife wants to help me do it, that's fine too).

    ANOTHER Shock and Lift Question

First off, I'm sorry for asking this question and I did do a search and read the info but there is SO MUCH info and it doesn't necessarily address what I'm looking for. Second, thanks for reading (and hopefully offering advice). It really is appreciated. Now the meat: I have a '99 4Runner...

    Power Steering Help

I've tried to do some research on this and I haven't really found the same problem. Daughter was using the car and put regular PS fluid in the reservoir causing the steering to be really inconsistent...hard then soft. Once I was informed to the problem, I flushed the PS and replaced it with ATF...
