How much power does your A/C use?

Well seems like it's normal for some and not for others. Maybe it's just something I'll get used to. My 3rd gen would do it too but only after at least an hours drive time since it had adapted to highway driving. (I used to rarely drive highway, though now I do it every day.)

How much power does your A/C use?

I was talking HP and not RPM but I was being sarcastic.

How much power does your A/C use?

I've got an '06 V8 4runner and with the A/C on when it cycles it seems like it takes 100 HP. I'll be driving down the road with the A/C on and when the compressor cycles the thing acts like you let off the accelerator pedal. Then it cycles back on and it's like a kick in the seat. Any one else...

How to get better throttle response FOR FREE!

Try bending the arm on the pedal a bit. (I believe you will want to pull the rod away from the firewall.) Seems that is the original issue here as opposed to stretched cables. Adjusting the cables is the easier fix though.

Random shut off / having to wait to crank back up

Last time I had this happen to me it was out of coolant and overheating. The temp gauge never showed hot though. I know because I was watching it like a hawk. Had just bought the truck after it had been rolled over. I knew the radiator leaked but couldn't tell how bad so I was driving it to...

Not quite sure what part this is, but I'm pretty sure it's broken

Try tightening up that connection. Not too tight though or you can crush the fitting inside there and make it really leak. I'd personally spray it off with brake cleaner and watch it. Keep the fluid topped off and fergodssakes don't use "power steering fluid" Use ATF.

    2005 V8 4Runner Sport - engine trouble...

If they put the old timing belt and water pump on a new engine and it broke, THEY need to put you another engine in it for free. Why the F would anyone take that chance?

    Radio question

Odds are it will. Radios for the most part are one of two universal sizes. Single DIN and Double DIN. One being twice as tall as the other. (There are some differences like the oval Ford Taurus' for example where the radio face was, you guessed it, oval.) The plugs may be different though so...

Here are mine, though I recently sold the 3rd gen to a buddy when I bought a 4th gen V8 to tow the red one with.

How to "MAINTAIN" a Maintenance Free Battery? Pics included.

Yea, just peel the "maintenance free" sticker off and unscrew the caps and fill them up to just below the top of the battery.

    Rattle in the headliner

No sunroof on this truck. I'll check the roof rack. Hadn't thought of that.

    Rattle in the headliner

Let me preface this by saying I'm a BMW tech by trade and I ABSOLUTELY HATE diagnosing rattle noises. Most of the time I don't hear them amongst all the other rattles and noises the car makes. :hurt: Anyway......my 06 has a rattle in the headliner right at the sun glass holder. Ordinarily I do...

    Alignment spec help

Caster is a non tire wearing angle. (Basically it is the rearward tilt of the strut assembly.) What is does is, 1.) allow for the steering wheel to return to center and 2.) assist in high speed strait line tracking. Being out by that little amount most likely won't affect either item. What...

    Rear Differential Repair/Replacement

COULD BE? They're not sure? Could it possibly be a wheel bearing they are talking about as opposed to the differential? A wheel bearing is MUCH cheaper to fix.
